Do it NOW!

Have you noticed how as we get older, life seems to speed up?

I remember feeling as a child that the summer holidays seemed to go on forever and Christmas took an age to come around again.

It seems, as we hit the middle of March, that almost a quarter of the year has gone in the blink of an eye.

Our perspective of time seems to have changed.

Minutes quickly turn into hours, hours to days and days to…..

Well, you know how fast it feels!

As I write this, Jade Goody is still bravely battling on.

If we learn anything from her tragic fight with terminal cancer, other than not to be embarrassed to get ourselves checked out more often, it is that life is definitely short.

I wonder how many people come to the end of their days thinking “I wish I’d done ….” or “I wish I’d spent more time ……”

I’m pretty sure neither of the statements involved watching more TV or doing longer hours in work.

More likely spending time with loved ones or having more exciting adventures and keeping in touch with special people.

This week’s experiment

In the film “The Bucket List” starring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman, two terminally ill men escape from a cancer ward and head off on a road trip with a wish list of to-dos before they “kick the bucket”.

I’m hoping that everything is fine with you and I’m curious too – what would be on your “bucket list”?

You can start to write it now.

Think about what action steps you need to do to make the list a reality – and start them now.

Secondly, have a fun day.

Do something on your want to do list instead of something on your should do list.

Also, if you could only make one more phone call ever, who would you call and what would you say?

Oh, and what are you waiting for?

Have fun with this one and if you’d like to share your list or results, I’d love to hear them.
