Quickly Beat Your Phobia

Quickly Beat Your Phobia

Many people suffer from phobias, some much more serious than others.

A phobia is basically a fear of something that can range from a minor aversion to a dread so debilitating that it interferes with normal life.

A full-blown phobia can cause sweating, nausea, and heart palpitations along with the overwhelming feeling that you are going to die or that you are losing your mind resulting in a serious anxiety attack.

Well known phobias include such things as the fear of heights, flying, small or enclosed spaces, open spaces and spiders.

Perhaps a phobia that is not so well known, but all too real for many people (especially today!) is Paraskavedekatriaphobia.

To the people who suffer from this, it is just as frightening as the word sounds.

Paraskavedekatriaphobia is the fear of Friday the 13th.

Although this fear may not be well known, it is more common than you would think.

Friday the 13th has long been linked with bad luck, even though there is nothing to factually link the two.

Like with any extreme phobia, fear of Friday the 13th means being afraid of something that actually poses you no real threat.

People who suffer from phobias usually know that their fear is irrational, but that doesn’t help them when it comes to getting over the phobia.

The good news is that there are cures for all phobias and some of the modern treatments are also quick and effective.

One type of therapy that has proven to work quickly is called NLP.

This type of therapy actually teaches you to reprogram your own reactions to fear.

There are clearly defined exercises you can choose from that can help you rearrange the mental codes in your subconscious that trigger you to be afraid whenever you’re exposed to your fear.

Combine this with Hypnosis and you can often cure your fear pretty quickly.

Your therapist can help you dig down and find out what is at the root of the fear.

With some phobias, the person who suffers from it may not even know the reason why they are afraid.

They only know that they are.

If the cause can be discovered, it can make it easier for you to understand your fear.

With the help of the therapist, your mind can be reprogrammed to conquer your phobia once and for all.
