Feed your mind to get slim

Feed your mind to get slim

Every week across the newspaper and magazine shelves I see the same thing again and again.

Almost every day one of these publications claims in big letters across the front that they have “the only diet you’ll ever need” or “revolutionary new diet”.

If that really was the case, why is it that they made the same claims last month and you could pretty much bet your house they will be doing the same next month?

Here’s my belief – fad diets as a method of long term, sustainable weight loss do not work for the vast majority of people.

I know too many people who have crash dieted and lost a good deal of weight only to put it all back on, and more.

I know why that is.

They were concentrating on the wrong part of themselves.

They should have been feeding their mind instead of starving their body.

Weight loss, in theory, is simple maths.

Eat a little less food and do a little more exercise.

So if in theory it’s that simple, why do so many people struggle to put it into practice?

Surely, if that’s all we needed to do there would be no need for diets.

It is and there isn’t!

It’s all in the mind.

Most diets are based on depriving yourself of something; you can’t have carbs, or protein and carbs on the same day, or too many points, or cake and certainly not chocolate!

When you consciously try to deny yourself something it only makes you want it more and obsess about food.

What if I told you that the secret to permanently being slim was not eating carrots?

Carrots might not even be your veg of choice but come Sunday dinner when everyone’s plate is laden with carrots except yours, they become the most enticing foodstuff EVER!

Feed your mind to get slim - Mark Darlington

Even the word “diet” bothers me; it’s just “die” with a “t” on the end!

I love food and never want to deprive myself of anything, and you don’t need to either.

What if I told you that you could eat whatever you wanted and still become slim?

Would you be curious?

Over the next few weeks I’m going to be making the complicated psychology behind becoming slim simple and sharing easy ways to feed your mind so that you can easily become slim and stay slim forever.
